Strategies that emerge from real life
– and return to real life.

I treat development as a story about the future that we write together – with teams, local governments, producers, organisations and local communities. I do not begin with tables or document templates. I begin with the question: who are we doing this for, and how should their everyday life change?

As an activist academic, I have long combined academic research with consultancy for cities, businesses and civil society organisations. I design development strategies, revitalisation concepts, programmes for families, children and young people, and solutions for the Wild Ones Base, schools, cultural institutions and urban social policies.

What sets my training apart

  • strong, research-based academic grounding (Polish and international), linked to real practice
  • engaging and activating methods: movement, experience and tasks that avoid boredom
  • delivery in-person, online or in the field (forest, meadow, campfire, Wild Ones Base)
  • every participant receives a full set of materials
  • training is challenging, practical and based on real situations
  • possibility to combine training with outdoor activities and nature-based workshops

Forms of delivery

  • field-based: Wild Ones Base, forest, meadows, campfire
The foundations of my work
Urban pedagogy
and “the small centres of the world”

I view the city and institutions as living organisms – with their memory, conflicts, hopes and potential. In my book The Street as Axis Mundi — Critical Urban Pedagogy, I describe how the street becomes the axis of a child’s world, and how neighbourhood space becomes a site of upbringing, care and change. I translate these ideas into the language of strategies, revitalisation programmes, local policies and development documents.

Action research and implementation

I cannot imagine strategic work without movement between theory, practice and reflection. I use action research – the cycle: diagnosis → action → reflection → adjustment → next step. This ensures that strategies are not abstract: they emerge from people’s lived experiences and return to them in the form of concrete change.

Co-creation with teams

I do not “write strategies in an office”. I create them together with those who will later implement them: staff members, leaders, teachers, parents, children, young people and residents. This strengthens a sense of agency and increases the likelihood that the document will genuinely “come alive” in practice.

Nature, adventure and outdoor pedagogy

In projects such as Wild Ones Base or Wild Ones Foundation, I combine strategic thinking with very concrete work in nature: micro-expeditions, forest, meadows, campfires, and the base as a constant place of grounding. When designing development concepts, I remember that good strategies must account for the body, space, daily rhythms, fatigue and relationships – not only indicators.

I design and co-create

• Development strategies for organisations, institutions and programmes (e.g., development of social services for children and young people; expansion of adventure and outdoor education; directions for work with families). • Revitalisation and local development strategies based on residents’ real stories, field research, spatial analysis and the potential of place (e.g., courtyards, estates, “places of power”). • Urban and neighbourhood programmes in the areas of education, integration, child protection, community building and the social responsibility of institutions.

Out-of-the-box thinking and action concepts

I support teams in stepping beyond well-worn paths, always remaining grounded in reality: I facilitate out-of-the-box thinking processes – from problem mapping to creating unconventional solutions; I design concepts and directions for new projects, programmes and spaces (e.g., bases, local centres, neighbourhood initiatives, educational trails in the city and forest); and I help translate a vision into goals, actions, outcomes and indicators.

Designing tools, handbooks and procedures

I create: • handbooks and guides for working in the city and in nature (e.g., reading the city, work in courtyards, outdoor activities, micro-expeditions), • lesson plans and workshop cycles (for schools, NGOs, cultural institutions, Wild Ones Base, integration programmes), • procedures and standards (e.g., child safeguarding procedures, safety standards in outdoor programmes, principles for cooperation with families and local communities).
